Tanzania Calling

Dr. Margaret Thompson with children in Tanzania 2011

In 2010 Margaret was introduced to FFHC and traveled to Tanzania the following November. For a long time she has felt called by God to serve as a long term missionary in a developing nation using her skills.  She wants to share the hope of the Gospel and God's love with others, to build relationships, and to empower them to better their living conditions.

After many short-term international trips Margaret is now preparing to answer that call. As soon as she is fully funded she plans to move to Tanzania to lead the goat care and breeding side of our ministry along with our Livestock Officer, Joseph Kwasalema.

The program is continuing to grow and expand which means that more education and closer monitoring is needed to ensure that the goats stay healthy and to maximize results for the families. Dr. Margaret will work closely with the families to provide them with the support they need to put their training into practice. She will also assist with animal healthcare trainings for our volunteer vets.

Please be in prayer for Margaret as she makes preparations and raises monthly support for her two to three years of service in Africa.  Margaret will be volunteering for Food For His Children while she's in Tanzania but will be under the umbrella of Christian Veterinary Mission.  If you would like to support Margaret financially please click here or cut and paste the following in to your browser:
