Proclaiming the Good News

In November of 2011, Food For His Children (FFHC) was given four electronic devices called "Proclaimers" from the group Faith Comes By Hearing to take to Tanzania during a trip to the area.  A Proclaimer contains a recording of the Bible translated into Swahili, the language that is prevalent in the areas that we work in.  Each of the four Proclaimers were given to churches at one of our project sites.  In July 2012 Pastor Nyka sent this message via email with how the church at Qurus is using the one they recieved.

I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
I would send the greetings from Qurus Parish (to) all members (of FFHC), we thank you and the donors who provided the Proclaimer to us. The Proclaimers help people to expanded the knowledge of how (to) know the word of God by hearing.

We use (the) Proclaimer after worshipping every Sunday. We (are having) discussion by groups. Together with members of our congregation another group which (has) enjoyed the voice of (the) Proclaimer is Qurus Vocation Training Centre – dealing with tailoring, and special Education which provides education for children with disabilities.
God (has) blessed you. It’s true that “Faith comes from what is heard and what is heard comes by the preaching of Christ” (Rom 10:17)
And when we come together each one has a lesson, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation.  Let(ting) all things be done for edification
I attached photos (which) shows how we (are) using the Proclaimer.
